Proof That (Some) Married Men Are Sexist

Less than five percent of Fortune 500 CEOs are women.

The Atlantic cites a recent study which found that married men in “traditional marriages” (in which the wife is not employed) are more sexist in their attitudes towards women in the workplace than men in “modern marriages” (in which the wife is employed full time).

It’s a subconscious form of sexism in which these male leaders have let their personal views limit professional opportunities for women in their companies.

One lab experiment for the study revealed a stark difference in the way men in traditional marriages treated two candidates–one male, one female–with identical professional experience. The men in traditional marriages gave the female contender “significantly poor evaluations” compared to the male.

This study could drive more attention to Mitt Romney and President Obama’s marriages, especially as they fight to win over women voters.

Is Mitt Romney a Narc?

Mitt Romney opposes marijuana legalization. We get it. But acting as a narc (short for Narcotics officer/tattle-tale) is an entirely different story.

Gawker reports that Romney, on a walk on the beach with his wife, confronted his neighbor, Mr. Quint, who was smoking marijuana. Later on an officer told Quint that his neighbors had complained about his pot smoking, insinuating Romney as the tattle-tale.
